As the fall campaign begins, lets look towards our first event, the Battle of Franklin. This edition is all about the pivotal battle we'll be portraying in October, and include a history of the Florida Brigade and 7th Florida at both Franklin and Nashville, as well as a study on the Federal artillery used at Franklin.

This month we review Fort Clinch Secession Garrison and look forward to 161st Battle of Resaca. Sgt. Ellis presents training materials on Secure Arms and Trail Arms, while Captain Hendrix reports on the recent Florida Battalion Meeting.

Lets review the first half of the fall campaign. In October, Company K went to two new events: Fort Clinch October Garrison and the Occupation of Sandersville. Both were great events and we look forward to going next time!

As we enter into the fall campaign, lets take a moment to learn. 1st Sgt. Ellis shares the beginning of a several-issue long study of small arms, and Sgt. Mjr. Hendrix shares the original report written by Col. Robert Bullock after Chickamauga, 162 years ago.

Captain Hendrix reminds us to look forward to the coming season, and read a letter written by the original Captain of Company K, Robert Smith, in 1863, describing a small skirmish the 7th Florida participated in outside of Knoxville, TN.
